Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Pedestria, a walking RPG available on mobile devices and related services at pedestria.app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Pedestria is an early / beta product. Features, balance, availability, and game data may change, reset, or be unavailable without notice. We provide the service on an “as available” basis and make no guarantee of uninterrupted access or preserved progress during beta.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate sign-in information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact support@pedestria.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Character names must follow community standards; we may rename or remove abusive names.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, automate, or fabricate step or health data, or otherwise manipulate progression unfairly.
• Probe, disrupt, or overload our servers or other players’ experience.
• Reverse engineer or scrape the service beyond ordinary app use, except where allowed by law.
• Harass others or use the service for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the integrity of the game.

Game authority

All gameplay outcomes—combat, loot, crafting, travel, shops, quests, and step credits—are determined by our servers. Client displays and previews are not authoritative. We may correct erroneous grants, revoke ill-gotten progress, and enforce caps and rate limits.

Health permissions

Pedestria reads step counts from Apple Health or Health Connect to power progression. Granting permission is optional but required for walking-based progress. We do not provide medical advice; step data is used only for entertainment gameplay. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Intellectual property

Pedestria, its art, text, code, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You do not own in-game items, currency, or characters beyond the license to use them while the service is available.

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST-PROGRESS DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Termination

You may stop using Pedestria at any time and may request account deletion as described on our Account deletion page. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
